Kintbury and beyond is a blog for the local history of Kintbury and its environs
Kintbury is situated in Berkshire, close to the borders of Wiltshire to the west, and Hampshire to the south. The parish is part of the Walbury Beacon Benefice which comprises of the parishes of Kintbury with Avington, Combe, Inkpen, Hamstead Marshall and West Woodhay.
We started out writing regular articles for our local benefice newsletter and have now graduated to our own website/blog.
Between us we have a particular love for local history, including interest in the local links to Jane Austen. Our research includes the history of particular events, festivals and people within our local parishes.
If there is a particular topic that you are interested in please do contact us, we love to hear from our readers. Guest writers are very welcome to contribute on related topics!
